Filter socks and bags for process and non-potable water

Sediment pre-filtration for boreholes, rainwater, cooling water and closed-loop flushing.

Where they are used

  • Borehole, river and rainwater supplies, taking out silt and sand ahead of finer treatment.
  • Cooling water and process water, on intakes and side-stream filtration.
  • Flushing closed heating and chilled-water loops, where temporary filtration takes out debris before handover.
  • Tank and IBC inlets, with a drawstring sock over the fill.

What to choose

Stage it. A coarse nylon mesh sock, 400 to 800 micron, takes leaves, grit and sand and rinses clean. A 100 or 200 micron sock after it catches the finer sediment. For polishing below 50 micron, use felt as the last stage.
